Zizek on ideology of private/public space
novembre 23, 2012

“I always disagree with this rather primitive idea that [all that surveillance cameras and so on..] private space is disappearing. I think it’s the opposite that is really happening in our society: public space proper is disappearing, even when we are in public.. we behave as we are still in private. This is an example of ideology that really matters (..) in the sense of ideological presuppositions in everyday level, how we interact, how I fell that the others’ presence intrudes into me”.
